About these notes

The rules

1. This is a one-person site. I write in the first person, about bags I bought with my own money and actually used.
2. There is no scoring system, no editorial team and no "we tested". When I have only used something twice, I say so.
3. If a link on a page earns me a commission, I disclose it at the top of that page. Where there are no affiliate links, the disclosure page says so.

How a note gets written

1. I buy the bag, usually because I need it for a job.
2. I use it for at least a few trips before writing anything. If I have only had it two weeks, the note says two weeks.
3. I write down what I actually noticed — packing order, what broke, what I stopped using — not a feature list.
4. I come back and update the post when something changes months later.

Where this method falls short

• One person, one set of trips, one way of packing. My conclusions are what worked for me carrying what I carry.

Corrections

Every page carries the date it was published and the date it was last updated. When I get something wrong, I fix it on the page and say what changed — my default is to correct in place rather than quietly delete. Mail nadia@thewellpacked.com and it will reach me.
